International Convention is held in each odd calendar year to celebrate AOII’s biennium. At this event, business of the Fraternity is conducted and Council Members elect AOII’s Executive Board and Foundation Board. All AOII members are invited to attend this exciting event where they have the opportunity to network, engage in AOII rituals, celebrate chapter accomplishments and experience AOII traditions and sisterhood!

Leadership Institute is held in each even calendar year in Brentwood, Tennessee. The educational leadership event offers training, workshops, educational programming and opportunities to connect with members from all over North America. At this event, attendees have an opportunity to exchange best practices and discuss strategies that will help elevate their chapter experience.
While COVID-19 impacted our world, our Fraternity and our members in unprecedented ways and forced our in-person event to be canceled, AOII is proud to have hosted our first ever Virtual Leadership Institute. While we were sad not to gather in person to participate in sisterhood, education and celebrate our members, the virtual event was a huge success! Leadership Academy is an annual leadership conference held in Brentwood, Tennessee that provides education for two collegiate officers and one Alumnae Advisory Committee member. Leadership Academy is designed to help every collegiate chapter develop leadership skills and receive resources to help advance their chapter’s development.
AOII’s first ever virtual Leadership Academy took place January 9-10, 2021 with over 1,000 sisters gathering through Zoom for education, discussion, and the advancement of the Fraternity.
Strike Out Arthritis! with Major League Baseball
Thanks to strong relationships between the Fraternity and Major League Baseball Teams, fundraising events are held every year at ballparks throughout North America. The opportunity for a sisterhood event coupled with a fundraiser from ticket sales benefits both the Arthritis Foundation and AOII.
