Fraternity Events


International Convention is held in each odd calendar year to celebrate AOII’s bieunnium. At this event, business of the Fraternity is conducted and Council Members elect AOII’s Executive Board and Foundation Board. All AOII members are invited to attend this exciting event where they have the opportunity to network, engage in AOII rituals, celebrate chapter accomplishments and experience AOII traditions and sisterhood!

AOII’s 2019 International Convention took place in “The City Beautiful”, Orlando, Florida from June 26-30 and was a huge success!

The 2021 AOII International Convention will take place in Palm Desert, California at the JW Marriott Desert Springs.

Leadership Institute

Leadership Institute is held in each even calendar year in Brentwood, Tennessee. The educational leadership event offers training, workshops, educational programming and opportunities to connect with members from all over North America. At this event, attendees have an opportunity to exchange best practices and discuss strategies that will help elevate their chapter experience.

Held in June 2018, this event was a huge success with numerous breakout and power sessions with topics from mental health to empowering each other. Click here to read a recap of LI 2018.

AOII’s 2020 Leadership Institute will take place at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs from June 19-20. Registration details and additional information coming soon!

Leadership Academy

Leadership Academy is an annual leadership conference held in Brentwood, Tennessee that provides education for two collegiate officers and one Alumnae Advisory Committee member. Leadership Academy is designed to help every collegiate chapter develop leadership skills and receive resources to help advance their chapter’s development.

AOII’s 2020 Leadership Academy was a huge success bringing New Member Educators, Vice Presidents of Chapter Development, and either the New Member Educator Adviser or the Chapter Development Adviser to Brentwood, Tennessee for a weekend full of inspirational sisterhood activities and retention conversations.

Strike Out Arthritis! with Major League Baseball

SOAThanks to strong relationships between the Fraternity and Major League Baseball Teams, fundraising events are held every year at ballparks throughout North America. The opportunity for a sisterhood event coupled with a fundraiser from ticket sales benefits both the Arthritis Foundation and AOII.
