Training Ambassador Program
Are you interested in leading both alumnae advisers and collegians to reflect on their leadership and communication styles? Are you passionate about shaping the collegiate experience to be one of learning and growth? Are you interested in presenting “Advising with Ambition”, a new training series geared towards new advisers? Are you free to facilitate 4-6 weekends over the course of a year? Frequently Asked Questions
Can I serve on an AAC and as an ambassador at the same time?
Yes! Many current ambassadors also serve on an AAC, on a standing committee, in an alumnae chapter, etc. The time committment for the role will be the same for all ambassadors, so please ensure that you can meet the requirements if you choose to apply for this role in addition to a current role.
What have visits been like during the pandemic?
All visits were virtual for the 2020-21 academic year and hosted over Zoom. Typically, the ambassadors travel in-person to visit our chapters and we hope it is safe to do so again soon!
What is the time commitment of this role?
Per visit, ambassadors spend up to 10 hours planning, prepping, and facilitating. Over the course of the year, ambassadors facilitate up for up to 6 chapters.
Please be advised that attendance at training from Friday, August 6 – Sunday, August 8 is a mandatory component of position placement for all three ambassador positions.
