The fifth annual Alumnae Leadership Conference (ALC) brought together over 200 Alpha Omicron Pi alumnae from across North America for a weekend of connection, inspiration, and personal growth. This signature virtual event continues to be a cornerstone for alumnae engagement and development.

Festivities began Friday evening with a relaxed social hour, offering attendees the chance to connect, catch up, and kick off the weekend with their alumnae community. Saturday’s programming opened with welcoming remarks from International President Susan Bonifield, followed by a meaningful Passover celebration hosted by Alyssa Simon, President of the Coastal Delaware Alumnae Chapter.

Keynote speaker Colene Elridge, aka “Coach Colene,” Tau Omega (Transylvania U), delivered a powerful and energizing message centered on “Your Best, Most Empowered, Happiest Self.” The keynote, made possible through a grant from the AOII Foundation, encouraged participants to lead with purpose and confidence in all areas of their lives.

Thirteen educational tracks were offered throughout the day, hosted by experienced volunteers and subject matter experts. Track themes included Leadership Skills, Empowered Women, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Sense of Belonging. In a choose-your-own-adventure format, participants selected three sessions to attend, allowing for a tailored and meaningful learning experience.

In the evening, attendees reconnected for Speed Networking and Empowerment Bingo, which were two high-energy opportunities for fun and interaction. Bingo winners received empowerment-themed books, including a copy of Coach Colene’s book as a prize.

The day concluded with Alumnae Chapter Spotlights, honoring chapters in categories such as Outstanding Hospitality, Transformation, Growth, Outreach, Revitalization, Debut, and Community Impact. Closing remarks from International President, Susan Bonifield, Nu Beta (U of Mississippi), left participants feeling inspired and reconnected to the Fraternity.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive as 100% of survey respondents agreed with the statement: “I gained knowledge that will help me to be a better AOII leader.”

ALC 2025 reinforced the power of connection, lifelong learning, and the continued impact alumnae have within AOII and beyond. Excitement is already building for the 2026 Alumnae Leadership Conference as headquarters staff prepares for another inspiring year of lifetime engagement and alumnae connection!
