Help AOII Score Big on Pi Day

Sisters! Pi Day is right around the corner! Once again, the Foundation and Fraternity are polishing those High Tops, bedazzling those basketballs, and practicing their cheers all to gear up as Team AOII for this year’s Pi Day on Saturday March 14. This year is shaping up to be quite the day of competition, especially with the expansion of our coaching staff. Joining returning coaches Coach Gayle and Coach D, are two new Assistant Coaches — Coach Carole and Coach Barb!
Pi Day is one of AOII’s days of giving where we ask Team AOII to come off the bench and get into the game by giving to our Loyalty Fund. The Loyalty Fund provides support where it is needed most, including through educational and leadership programming for all sisters.

With Pi Day nearly here, we wonder what our Founders would think of the many ways we celebrate Pi and pie.
A few years ago, Past International President and International Historian, Allison Allgier Epsilon Omega (Eastern Kentucky U), along with the Rituals, Tradition, and Jewelry (RTJ) committee, shared a letter written by one of our founders Stella George Stern Perry. In this letter Stella addresses the founding of our fraternity and reminds us:
“ … In a word, Love moved us; and whatever success we have all of us shared in AOII, you, and your Founders equally, is due to the fact that Love always moves to, for, and itself where there is no failure.”
What’s love got to do with Pi Day? These powerful words sum up the connection perfectly: “Love is like pi — natural, irrational, and never ending”. Both concepts are complex, ever present, and extend infinitely without limit.”
As Pi Day approaches, here are some key points to keep in mind:
- On March 14, you and sisters will give back to the sisterhood that has given so much to
us all by making a gift to the AOII Foundation using AOII Math. AOII Math = numbers
of years an AOII x 3.14 = your donation. - Gifts made on Pi Day support the Loyalty Fund, the single most important resource our
Foundation uses to fulfill its mission. This fund is for the operational support to fuel our
Foundation, fill gaps in other funding and AOII’s most pressing needs. - AOII needs the support of every sister, every year to ensure our members continue to
receive the support and the inspiration to achieve their goals. - Every gift empowers our next generation of leaders, funds leadership grants, improves
access to education through scholarships, and provides the operational support to make all
AOII’s programs possible. - On March 14, go to aoii.crowdchange.net to make your gift. Then, share on social
media what AOII has given you, and why you choose to give back, on social media using
the hashtag #TEAMAOII. Share your “why” with your sisters, family and friends to
inspire them to make a gift. - Together, we can make an impact that creates an even brighter future for generations of
AOIIs to come.
Pi Day — March 14, 2026 — is a day for all AOIIs to show their love and support for our sisterhood. Every gift makes an impact, whether it’s $10 or $1,000. But keep our AOII math in mind … multiply the number of years you’ve been a member by 3.14 to yield your donation amount. (I.e., 10 years x 3.14 = $31.40)
And make sure to join in on the fun by following along with our coaches and team on social media! You can also learn more and donate below at aoii.crowdchange.net. Game on!
