National Hazing Prevention Week 2023

This week marks the beginning of HazingPreventionNetwork.Org’s National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW). This year’s NHPW will feature a week of conversations about hazing prevention online that will empower attendees to raise awareness and promote prevention. Alpha Omicron Pi encourages ALL to take part in helping to raise awareness about ending hazing for good.

 Four steps to take action: 

National Hazing Prevention Week Events

Each day will focus on a successful program across a broad spectrum of campus activities. HazingPreventionNetwork.org will also join with The Gordie Center to recognize National GORDIE Day. Their speakers will share their hazing prevention program stories and deliver takeaways that attendees can use on their own campuses.

This year’s daily topics are:

Monday, Sept. 25│2:00 PM ET – Quality Hazing Prevention: A Panel of Experts Provide Insights

Tuesday, Sept. 26│2:00 PM ET – Lost in Translation: Cultural Competency in Hazing Prevention Efforts – with Rasheed Ali Cromwell

Wednesday, Sept. 27│7:30 PM ET – Never Leave Anyone Behind (Facilitation Guide)

Thursday, Sept. 28│2:00 PM ET – National Gordie Day: Alcohol & Hazing
