Stay Connected for Lifelong Sisterhood

Graduating from college is a monumental milestone, often marked by excitement for new beginnings and, at times, a tinge of nostalgia for the experiences and friendships formed during those collegiate years. The bonds of sisterhood do not end at commencement. In fact, staying connected as alumnae can offer profound personal and professional benefits.
Being part of a sorority is about more than social events and philanthropy.; it’s about finding a supportive community. After graduation, you enter a world that can sometimes feel isolating, especially when moving to new city or starting a new job. Maintaining connections with sorority sisters can ease these transitions. Being part of a local alumnae chapter offers a network of individuals who share core values and a mutual commitment. These relationships can lead to lifelong friendships, mentorship opportunities, and even career advancement.
We often say that AOII is for a lifetime, but what does this mean?
Staying connected as an alumna helps keep cherished traditions alive. Whether it is participating in chapter events or volunteering for philanthropic causes, these opportunities help foster a sense of belonging and community. They also offer a chance to give back by helping the next generation of sisters navigate their own journeys.
Staying connected after college is about more than personal gain. It’s also about giving back. Our alumnae play a crucial role in mentoring collegiate members, and by remaining engaged, you help ensure that the values and sisterhood of Alpha Omicron Pi endure, empowering women everywhere to lead, serve, and inspire ambition.
The transition from collegian to alumna status marks the beginning of a new chapter; not the end of your sisterhood journey. Whether you are a new graduate or have been out of college for some time, it’s never too late to make new connections with AOII sisters.

Ready to take your lifelong commitment to the next level? There are many alumnae opportunities available, including ways to volunteer and serve AOII whether as an officer for your alumnae chapter or a collegiate chapter advisor. Consider serving in a position for one of our 10 Networks which support collegiate and alumnae chapters or on a committee for The Fraternity of Foundation. Volunteering is a great way to use your talents to give back to AOII and can be personally rewarding and fulfilling.
