Dear sisters:

We have been thinking a lot about AOII and our sisters over the past few days. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all our lives in some way or another. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well. As the AOII Foundation, like every other organization, works to navigate the uncertain and complex situation facing our members in response to the spread of COVID-19, we have made several decisions that will expand our ability to respond to the needs of our sisters.

First, the Foundation Board has increased the resources available in the Ruby Fund to respond to the emerging critical needs of our members. Second, at this time, we are opening requests to the Ruby Fund for emergency assistance to ALL members in good standing. This expands the traditional scope of the Ruby Fund from alumnae and senior collegians to all collegiate members, who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses as a result of the current COVID-19 crisis. And if you know of a sister in dire need of help, please let her know of the assistance available through the Ruby Fund.

For 123 years, our sisterhood has thrived and will continue to do so well into the future, because we care about each other and show it by our actions. At this point, we do not know where and when this crisis will end. We do know that many of you are being affected or worried about being affected either by the virus or the financial issues it is causing. That makes the recent gifts given through our Foundation truly special.

Foundation Ambassador and former Ruby Fund recipient, Hannah Beth Millman (Zeta Pi ’93), has a special message to share. Click here to view Hannah Beth’s message to our sisters.

If you can, please consider a gift today. Your gift will allow our Foundation to support our sisters through times of uncertainty such as the days, weeks and perhaps months ahead. If you can’t give now, please know that we understand. Click here to give online and show your support today. Rest assured, your gift will be invested in our sisters. Together, we can show the world what sisterhood truly means.

Thank you again, dear sister, for your past support. Your support now is more vital than ever before.

Roses,
AOII Foundation Board of Directors
